Hey Skirill, I think I saw this work exhibited at an art gallery on an episode of "Switched at birth". Do u know that?

Hm... Don't remember if I gave some permission for that. But it's possible. Thank you.

I am very inspired by this. With all due respect and proper credit given where it is due as well, may I please attempt to recreate this in photograph form? You will be given all credit to concept, and I will provide links to this image for people to see where I got the idea from :)

Oooh my god! Your drawings are so freaking awesome! I want to favourite all of them but maybe one is enough :D Do you use normal drawing paper or what kind of paper you use?

thank you:) This one I drew in sketchbook, there's quite rude recycling paper, slightly yellow, but all effects with textures I add later. Sometimes it's usual white paper for printer, I used it for example in works 'Flower', 'Sack of bones', 'Thinking'.

May I ask why you have an attraction to skeletons?

Actually not only to them. Just this theme I like a lot in two last years and I'm afraid it captured me, because I don't draw anything else... well, maybe sometimes. But in common I always like some dark and horrible themes, since I was five years old I think. I can't say why, I grew up in normal family, I didn't have any bad emotional or psycho stresses (yeah, many psychologists like to say that as a reason). I just don't know... Heh, in medieval times I think inquisition wouldn't have many questions for me )

Ah, well, they certainly take a lot of talent to draw. I've briefly studied them, but only to learn to draw people and other animals. But I too find the macabre very interesting. I try to draw things like what you draw, but I just can't draw detail.
Your drawings look like illustrations for books by authors such as C.S. Lewis. Very old fashioned but timeless as well.

This makes me think of the masks worn during the bubonic plague that contained sweet-smelling things (as it was thought that bad air spread the disease). My opinion is somewhat reinforced by the growths on the figure.

yes, I've heard the same opinions ) I agreу about the mask. The same time I didn't have the idea of 'plague doctor' when I drew this one. Just wanted to add some variant of head cloth or something :)
