To me it's symbollic to how modern women are so beautiful how they r naturally bt some force overwhlems them making them feel less of themselves & have the need to change who they r,remaking their image & unleashing it on the world,hence the blackness reaching thru the nails........
That or a gurl being taken ovr by the demon thatz her period bnd unleashing it on every1 thru her 'CLAWS'...literally.
